Alan is currently reading a book called "A commotion in the BLOOD" by: Stephen S. Hall. It's published by "Henry Holt and Company" and it's first edition is 1997. (Yep! 1997 - brand new!)......Despite it's boring sounding title, Alan says the book is fascinating!!! It traces immunotherapy from Coley's toxins, on up to modern day interferon, mono-clonal antibodies, etc.. Talks about Dr. Kaminski, Dr. Levy, Dr. Press, etc. ......Alan says it reads like a narrative, but explains the way these things were discovered, how they work & the politics of getting treatments approved....Can't wait until he's done with it, so I can read it too!
